{"id":43198,"date":"2024-04-26T23:10:52","date_gmt":"2024-04-26T23:10:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/branding\/nic-ethics-entire\/"},"modified":"2024-04-26T23:10:52","modified_gmt":"2024-04-26T23:10:52","slug":"nic-ethics-entire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sheilathewriter.com\/blog\/nic-ethics-entire\/","title":{"rendered":"Nic Ethics, Entire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Name<\/p>\n<p>Professor<\/p>\n<p>Course<\/p>\n<p>Date<\/p>\n<p>Part 1<\/p>\n<p>Virtue is like precious odors most fragrant when they are incensed or crushed (Singh, 11).<\/p>\n<p>This means that some people\u2019s characters are shaped after they go through hardships or punishments.<\/p>\n<p>Is there a possibility when an individual may not change after they undergo hardships and punishments?<\/p>\n<p>This is an aspect that portrays the uniqueness of all human beings. <\/p>\n<p>The different behaviors that emerge after the change depict the commonness of all human beings. <\/p>\n<p>Human beings will react to pain, either positively or negatively.<\/p>\n<p>Beauty without virtue is like a rose without scent.<\/p>\n<p>This means that beauty goes hand in hand with virtue.<\/p>\n<p>The beauty of a human being lies in their moral excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Human beings have different behaviors.<\/p>\n<p>These behaviors have different degrees of morality. <\/p>\n<p>Moral behaviors vary from one individual to another.<\/p>\n<p>Virtue is a scent it attracts individuals and helps them realize the beauty in another individual.<\/p>\n<p>The degree of beauty varies from one individual to another and so does the scent of a rose.<\/p>\n<p>There are behaviors that are universally immoral.<\/p>\n<p>Virtue is an angel, but she is a blind one, and must ask Knowledge to show her the pathway that leads to her goal.<\/p>\n<p>This means that one requires knowledge to know the correct moral paths. <\/p>\n<p>What knowledge does one need to gain moral excellence?<\/p>\n<p>Virtue and knowledge work hand in hand.<\/p>\n<p>An individual cannot discover moral excellence if they lack knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Moral excellence is the goal of various individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Each individual has different aspects that lead to their goal.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone yearns for success and not failure.<\/p>\n<p>Virtue has never been as respectable as money.<\/p>\n<p>This creates the notion that people value money more than moral excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Money will help one gain moral excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Virtue may not be a reliable source of money.<\/p>\n<p>There are some who adore an individual\u2019s behavior more than their money.<\/p>\n<p>Money may not enhance moral excellence in the lives of some individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Glory follows virtue as if it were its shadow (Taylor, 47).<\/p>\n<p>This means that when an individual acquires moral excellence, they gain glory.<\/p>\n<p>Some individual may not honor moral excellence because they do not have the ability to reach that goal.<\/p>\n<p>Shadows come in various sizes; the amount of glory one gets may also depend on the view of the people. <\/p>\n<p>Everyone receives some glory for their behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Part 2<\/p>\n<p>Should an individual work hard to be excellent even though such work will not eliminate suffering, disease, poverty, injustice or death?<\/p>\n<p>Pro- Hard work pays- there is always a degree of satisfaction when an individual maximizes their potential.<\/p>\n<p>Pro- Everyone goes through some degree of suffering so we should all work hard. <\/p>\n<p>Con a. The satisfaction may not match the effort. <\/p>\n<p>Con b. The degree of suffering varies. <\/p>\n<p>Should a person be concerned about keeping their integrity when others do not?<\/p>\n<p>Pro- integrity leads to moral excellence<\/p>\n<p>Pro- people have various goals so everyone should concentrate on their future aspirations. <\/p>\n<p>Cons a. If other people do not value moral excellence, then it will not help.<\/p>\n<p>Cons b. ones goals may not be beneficial if the societal norms do not approve them.  <\/p>\n<p>References<\/p>\n<p>Singh, M P.
