Week 2 Learning Activity<\/p>\n

The business I have chosen to write about is one that is known not just nationwide, but worldwide. I have chosen to write about the franchise business McDonalds. McDonalds has been franchising its company since 1955 (Daszkowski) McDonald\u2019s remains committed to franchising to accomplish its growing business. Currently McDonalds is the leading food service retailer in the whole world. They have over 33,000 restaurants worldwide in more than 100 different countries. The first McDonalds to ever open was a BBQ joint back in the year 1940. Just eight years later McDonalds is turned into a drive thru and the main dish served was a hamburger for just 15 cents. Within seven years from the first drive thru opening a new McDonalds was opened, and within 10 years from that date over 700 new McDonalds were opened across the US. (“Mcdonald’s history,” 2014)<\/p>\n

McDonalds currently has restaurants in over 120 countries. Some of the most interesting places to have McDonalds are countries like Nepal, Vietnam, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt, Cuba and more. (“List of countries,” 2014)<\/p>\n
