Instead of focusing on dysfunction, humanistic psychology endeavors to help individuals achieve their potential and make the best use of their well-being. This perspective emphasizes the personal worth of the person, the active nature of human beings, and human values’ centrality. It is a positive approach and centers on the noble human capability to overcome despair, hardship, and pain. Humanism therapy is used to treat panic disorders, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, schizophrenia, and addiction. Humanistic teachers consider that feelings and knowledge go hand-in-hand in the education process. Effective and cognitive learning are both significant to humanistic learning. The core standards of humanism theory include: people have their being in a distinctively human context, in addition to in a cosmic ecology, human beings surpass the sum of their parts, and human beings are conscious.
