The X Company

Organizations run multiple activities at a time. As such, it is common for challenges to occur. Different organizations have developed various tools and instruments that help them overcome their challenges; however, some organizations have a more difficult time managing their operations and solving their problems. The quicker organizations can effectively solve their problems, the easier it is for the employees and the organization to thrive. Organizations must remain proactive in developing new strategies and solutions to their challenges.

X is a professional packing and moving service company that offers packing and moving services to various destinations across the country, including unpacking, custom crating, cleaning and storage, and partial packing services. Organization x has been in operation for three years, and one of the biggest challenges it faces to date is high rates of employee turnover. Most employees leave the company within their first six months resulting in the organization constantly hiring new people to fill up job positions. High employee turnover rates negatively affect company operations as there are often delays in workflow. The delays cost the organization significant financial losses through increased costs of hiring new workers, lost revenue, refunds on deposits, and inconvenience claims. Other than the organization’s finances, high employee turnover has also affected the company’s image. Clients tend to leave negative reviews on the organization’s website while reducing employee productivity due to increased workload and high-stress levels.

To overcome high employee turnover, the organization should provide employees with the opportunity to give feedback on why they opt to leave their job positions. The organization’s leadership should ensure that they listen to the employees’ concerns and develop measures that address their needs (Hee & Ling, 1). For instance, the employees are often carrying and moving heavy objects, and as a result, minor accidents are common. To solve this problem, the organization can introduce paid sick leaves, health insurance, and other benefits that show the employee that the management cares about them. Introducing employee benefits can help settle most employees’ concerns, hence increasing employee retention and productivity (O’Connell & Kung, 2).
