Discussion Post on Mental Health
The topic that I chose for this paper is the subject of mental health. I want to write on mental health since psychological wellbeing is significant at each stage of life, from infancy and puberty through maturity. Mental health takes account of our psychological, emotional, and social wellbeing. It has an effect on how we feel, thinks, and act. It also aids us in deciding how we make choices, handle stress, and relate to others. I believe that it is vital for us to express these sentiments with other individuals on a daily basis. Talking about mental health makes us be encouraged to look for professional help in case of any psychological issues (Celso et al.,592). The monoamine hypothesis of mental health predicts that the basic pathophysiologic foundation is the exhaustion in dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin levels in the central nervous system.
Mental health is crucial to personal health, interpersonal and family relations, and the capacity to contribute to society or community. Mental conditions are wellbeing disorders characterized by changes in behavior, thinking, and mood connected to impaired functioning or stress. Healthy individuals’ vision of 2030 focuses on prevention, assessment, screening, and treatment of behavioral conditions and disorders. The mental illness objective intends to improve the health and quality of life of individuals affected by psychological conditions (Allison et al.,93). Some of the possible causes of mental health problems include drug use, smoking, gambling, and alcohol misuse. In the same way, poor psychological wellbeing can result in augmented addictive behaviors, smoking, and substance misuse. A mental disorder does not typically go away on its own. It is essential to pay attention to the warning signs and ask for inquiries. Talking with a child about their recent behavior change is necessary.
