Group problem-solving is a very important aspect of solving problems and finding the best solutions. The reasons below indicate the reasons why group problem solving is a very good manner of solving problems.

Better communication- when a group is involved in solving a certain problem the members get to communicate and through the process understand each other better. Therefore the members get to know their group members like or how they think and through their communication they get to become even better communicators.

Increased numbers of solutions- with group thinking and trying to find a solution to a certain problem the number of solutions become many as different people are actively involved in trying to come up with a solution. Therefore with this the group members choose the best solution.

Better handling of risks- with the many minds together the risks which arise from the different solutions which are discussed are matched with their solutions and therefore the risks are reduced to a very great extent.

Increase in the understanding between the group members. When group members are trying to solve a problem together they tend to understand each other better because as one member explains and through the communication better understanding of the concepts as well as the group members is achieved.

My group utilized and got most of the benefits discussed here. It was a good discussion.
