EXTRA CREDIT RESPONSE

Please write a 250-word typed response to a topic that relates to one of the course texts and/or discussions. This exercise is informal and just intended to be a fun way to further examine the material we have studied.

Thursday, August 4th, is the deadline to submit your response via the Extra Credit Response folder in Assignments on D2L.

The response is worth three percentage points on your final grade.

TOPIC SUGGESTIONS:

Prepare a professional biography of any one of our selected writers/speakers/film makers.

Analyze a particular example of propaganda. Be sure to identify which category of propaganda is used (such as those listed in Donna Woolfolk Cross’s article).

Critique an example of a specific stereotype you’ve seen portrayed in pop culture.

Offer a counter argument to one of the selected articles or videos.

Share what you learned in the process of writing one of your essays.
