Q#18) According to the x chart , the process isn perfectly in ocntrol, as the conyrol level is just within the nmargin of safety of tye upper contrio limit and the lower control limit, from the x chrat, is is open that mlost of the points are close to the average, while a few points occur near the control limits. Additionally, there are No points beyond the control limits. This is a sin of a process within the control limit. howevwe, from the r charts, the process is not stable . The R charts shows that the process was highly variable . never thelss, if the avarage fill is 50.0 pound, that wil be slihtly above the process, and so out of the process control. However, the variability of the process will accommodate that thouh not stable .
Q#19) The pltted avarages and ranges shows that the thermometers produced in te factory are conforming to the oreset control limts, most of the thermometers have a very hih level of [recision as their data appear close to the controllimit. The process on the other hand is variable as there are some process that are closer to the lower control limit.
