Chapter 1: Introduction:
As a phenomenon, media censorship has been foreshadowing against information outlets through many centuries. A major issue is the development of orderly states to secure information that is likely to threaten the authorities. The media has been a major contribution of information passing across borders in a shortened while. In fact, it has promoted the levels of silencing oppositions regarding an issue affecting a governmental progress. It is likely that media censorship is associated with lies. Some of the outlets that have been promoting the spread of the lies are CNN and other media groups. The issue has been alarming since the level of fake news is increasing at a high rate. Therefore, it has not been clear to understand the outlets issuing viewers with the correct information and those giving their own information. The issue of fake information is a likelihood to the development of rivals between groups (Van der Linden, Panagopoulos, & Roozenbeek, 2020). However, the use of censorship may enhance effects and promote the incorporation of secrets whenever the government is under corrupt leaders with a keen opposition. Therefore, as the censorship aims at protecting a certain group while the news progress, it may effectively affect the people through delivering fake news. The issue is critical as it promotes the levels of insecurity in as far as information is concerned. On further exploration of the matter, it requires attention and keen observation so as to understand the occurrences associated with the issue However, the media has developed the matter in a broad manner as it attempts to develop fault claims. In the past history, there have been advanced issues regarding the matter in places such as Europe and China (Chen, & Yang, 2018). According to research, it is apparent that governments have incorporated persecutions and harassment for people found accessing websites that are not allowed in the particular nation. Through such activities, it has acted as a development of fear and in the particular nation, denying its citizens freedom of accessing information.
Purpose of the Study
The current analysis aims at developing an understanding of whether media censorship is a form of responsibility or denying citizen’s freedom of information access. It is apparent that despite the fact that a government intends to develop its secrecy levels and enhance peace within it through control of certain information, it denies its citizens peace (Chin, 2018). Censorship is a form of controlling certain information from being reached and accessed by a group of people. Given the diversity in media, the governments have opted to incorporate the issue of monitoring all users especially through the social media platforms. It also denies the media team the freedom to express themselves on matters regarding airing the truth to the citizens, on occasions where the government is found having forms of irregularities against the nation. In the past history, the early American and Chinese governments were known of increased corruption (Chin, 2018). The methodology to be incorporated for the analysis will be the review of passed information and current issues associated with media censorship. Due to the mandated power of the president and the governmental leaders, one could not expose the government secrets to the citizens as it was likely to develop controversies (Gläßel & Paula, 2020). As a form of insecurity and fear promotion, the citizens as well as the media teams have always been observant of their communication. The internet is a major platform where the government keenly monitors the access to information from websites and social media platforms of the citizens. The study intends to take the analysis on a further level of investigation (Liu & Zhao, 2021). Based on its essence, it aims at exploring on the issue of why the issue of censorship seems as a form of a government’s responsibility and at the same time as a form of enhancing more insecurities and fear among the citizens and media stations as well as teams.
Summary of Previous Literature
Media censorship through electronic surveillance has been a major issue of concern across the globe. The internet is a major form of delivering information across the world without interrogating whether it is favorable to viewers of not. The transferred information is well strong and potential for matters associated with tracking (Tai & Fu, 2020). Powerful governmental departments and positions and other dictatorship leaderships, tend to incorporate the aspect of censorship. The social media is an essential platform for reporting the drug cartels and forms of corruption in a nation. However, the powerful people within the government monitor the communication platforms and ensure that some of the information is not passed from one person to another (Tai & Fu, 2020). In other cases, the media teams are threatened by the dominating groups that are associated with the noted behavior so as to avoid leaking their information to the nation. It is apparent that through previous research, censorship has acted as a form of promoting drug cartels and the levels of corruption in a nation. Previous analysis also has acted as a platform for indicating the various threats associated with media censorship. For example, Mexico has been viewed as a platform at which the issues regarding censorship has promoted deaths of people winning the public popularity on news. A crucial example is that of the physician turned reporter who was murdered a few years ago. Having been found owning a citizen news hub website known as “Valor por Tamaulipas,” she was tracked down, kidnapped and murdered (Gläßel & Paula, 2020). Clearly, it has been an issue to own a platform that can transfer information and enhance knowing of issues leaders enhance that are contrary to the nation or global recommendation.

Research Questions
The key question for the current analysis will be:
How likely is censorship likely to deny one freedom?
Is censorship part of the government’s responsibility or a form of denying people freedom?
Summary
Based on the analysis, it is apparent that the issue of censorship negatively affect people. Through dictatorship, many have gone through hard situations while trying to own media departments or tell hidden information on crime associated with the dictators to the people. The issue of media censorship is critical as media is widely used across the globe. Many tend to incorporate tracking measures across the internet, social media platforms, and media nations. To enhance the acts, many go through threats and persecutions. The issue regarding censorship has developed adequate chances of insecurity in nations. The study is an essential point of view and would enhance exposure of how cartels and dictators are thriving through nations.
