The research question played crucial roles in directing and controlling the research and drafting of the report. Specifically, the research question restricted and directed the research and writing of the document through specific ways that entail the determination of suitable search terminologies and selection of the most relevant details to be included in the report. Since the research study was trying to elaborate on how pet food companies thrive from the humanization of pets, I had to make vital decisions on the most relevant details about Blue Buffalo to include in the report. For instance, I had to find out Blue Buffalo’s current and projected revenues as well as its vision and operating strategy, whether it focuses on generating quality products to encourage the humanization of pets. Besides, I had to determine essential details about Blue Buffalo to be included as background information.
Identifying the most suitable pet food company served as the most challenging part of researching and drafting this report. I had to peruse through various pet food firms in an attempt to determine the one with adequate information on matters about the increasing value of pets.
I received lots of valuable suggestions that facilitated a better development and presentation of the report from my instructor and peers. Accordingly, I made some changes that entail the inclusion of additional images and information, as well as the reduction of redundancy and the removal of some unnecessary details. Specifically, I made all the changes suggested by my instructor. Even so, I could not effect all the suggestions from my peers since some of them could suggest a significant alteration of the research question, something that could attract major changes in the report.
Significant differences in style and grammar exist between the memo and the case study. Precisely, the case study uses detailed descriptive information as it strives to elaborate on a particular point. Besides, the case study tends to flow smoothly from the beginning to the end since all data are related. Also, the case study uses third-person pronouns. Accordingly, I had to determine the most appropriate vocabulary that would fit well into the context and provide empirical details rather than personal opinions. Moreover, I had to write complete sentences that offered detailed information.
Writing a case study has proven to be beneficial to students since I learned some crucial skills that entail the importance of engagement, brevity, proofreading, revision, choice of vocabulary, grammar, and style. Consequently, I would rely on specific arguments and research questions to develop future writing projects properly. Besides, I will endeavor to ensure that my documents flow smoothly from the onset to the end. Moreover, I will determine and utilize the most appropriate vocabulary, depending on the context and type of writing/ project.

First, I would like to express my sincere thanks to my instructor, Alison Stephens, for the unmeasurable support, guidelines, and advice during the entire development of my report. Similarly, I would like to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions from my fellow learners, Andrea Portilla and Andrea Arana. Indeed, responses from Arana and Portilla motivated and informed me during the revision of my initial drafts. Finally, I would like to thank my family for supporting me through the provision of necessary resources and ample time to accomplish this task.
