Perception in Communication
The process of choosing, arranging, and evaluating data is known as perception. This impacts our communication since we react to things differently depending on how we interpret them, whether they are things or people (Michigan University, 2016). Others perception towards me is influenced by the impression I create and their level of interpretation. For example, suppose I present myself as a serious person by always having an upright posture, no smiling, and using a harsh tone when communicating with employees. In that case, their interpretation will be that I am a serious person, but some would think I am egoistic. My impression and their interpretation will affect my working ability since some people would start avoiding me.
