On the last week, I learned something that I find interesting. It made me understand an issue differently. I learnt that re-reading texts and simple reading or notes is not actively engaging in the material. One should think of reading as a significant part of pre-learning but studying information needs actively engaging in the material. The engagement is the procedure of creating meaning from writing that consists of making connections to formal examples, lectures, and regulating my learning. Active studying does not signify underlining text or highlighting or note memorization. I discovered that planning and organization would assist me in studying for the courses actively.
I might apply this information to my life in the future because words written and spoken are the building blocks of life. What I become in the future depends on the words I believe about myself now. Families, people, nations, and even relationships are built on words. I had been struggling with finding and evaluating information whereby rhetoric questions kept coming to me. Eventually, I picked up information literacy concepts in this course since it’s a long-life learning process. A set of abilities applied helps to doing so well in school and personal matters.
